On Sunday, my friends and I took a train to Kalk Bay, a fishing village on the False Bay coastline. The scenic 45 minute train ride along the coast costed R13, the equivalent of about $1 USD.
Sitting between the mountains and the ocean, Kalk Bay is known for its rich character and and colorful Harbour. My friends and I enjoyed fresh fish and chips at a waterfront seafood restaurant before walking around town and stopping into a few local bakeries to sample delicious cookies and cakes. We ended our leisurely day with a walk on the pier, getting up close and personal with a few sun bathing seals.
How nice of that beautiful seal to pose for you like that! 📷
