On Sunday I climbed Table Mountain for the last time (that is, at least until I somehow make my way back to Cape Town in the future). I used the Platteklip Gorge trail, which is the most direct way up the mountain, but is also basically a giant, stone stairmaster. It took me a grueling hour and a half to reach the top of the mountain, where I expected to take the cable car back down. Lucky for me, the cable car was down for routine maintenance, so after spending some time enjoying the views from the uncrowded plateau, I trekked back down and around the mountain for three more hours.
Breathtaking views in every single photo! Just like an issue of National Geographic Magazine…
