When I pictured Vietnam, I thought of mountains, jungles, and greenery. I most certainly did not picture the sand dunes I found in Mui Ne, a small coastal town on the South China Sea. I only spent one day there (it was soooooo hot) but I packed in most of the highlights. First, I woke up early to see the sunrise at the white sand dunes.
Sunrise Looking like a travel blogger See the tiny people on the dunes? The moon! Sand for days Me Me and Casey!
Afterward, I headed to the red sand dunes (because what self-respecting small town doesn’t have two different colors of sand dunes?) to see what looked like a real-life Microsoft desktop wallpaper.
See how tiny the people are!! The Microsoft desktop wallpaper
(I also rented a sled at the red sand dunes, which I failed miserably at using to slide down the dunes. There is a video of this.) Then I stopped by Mui Ne fishing village, with their tiny, round fishing boats, and walked barefoot along the Fairy Stream, which runs through a canyon of red-rock cliffs.
Mui Ne Fishing Village So colorful So much contrast
Also, I should mention that the view from my hostel was pretty sweet too:

Beautiful!
Very colorful! Thinking back to the war there it seemed like there was a lot of jungle. I guess they don’t have dune buggies over there.
